Kaminey

Meri aarzoo kamini,
Mere khwab bhi kaminey,

How easy is it to admit that? This is a great composition. I like the way it flows - the way the connotations change. Lovable and then immediately devious. Never knew Vishal could sing so well...tip my imaginary hat to this massively talented guy...

5 David Gilmour guitar solos

Boring bus journey home...made better with Pink Floyd :)
  • The closing solo in Comfortably Numb from the live album The Delicate Sound Of Thunder
  • Time (right after "...you missed the starting gun") from the album The Dark Side of the Moon
  • Closing solo in High Hopes from the live album P.U.L.S.E
  • Shine on you Crazy Diamond from the album Wish you were here
  • Money from the album The Dark Side of the Moon
I know a lot of people complain that David Gilmour is too mathematical with his guitar play but what do I know...I just like the bluesy feel that they have...

Sometimes

The simplest way to say I am around...but I noticed these for the first time today...

"Sometimes I know, sometimes I rise
Sometimes I fall, sometimes I don't
Sometimes I cringe, sometimes I live
Sometimes I walk, sometimes I kneel
Sometimes I speak of nothing at all
Sometimes I reach to myself, dear god"

Sometimes by Pearl Jam from the album No Code (but I am not writing any these days...sorry bad joke)

...am feeling bluesy today...Clapton anyone??

"If you got bad news, you wanna kick them blues; cocaine.
When your day is done and you wanna run; cocaine.
She don't lie, she don't lie, she don't lie; cocaine."

Cocaine is a powerful psycho-stimulant. It induces a sense of exhilaration in the user primarily by blocking the re-uptake of the neurotransmitter dopamine in the mid-brain.

Dopamine is commonly associated with the pleasure system of the brain, providing feelings of enjoyment and reinforcement to motivate a person pro actively to perform certain activities.

I knew it was a pointless post...but I still need more dopamine!

Time

[ Mood : Philosophical ]
[ Song : Time ]

Time plays tricks on me...

The future - full of hope and vitality awaits me. The present - has a dream like unreality, slippin away before I can feel it. The past - tempts me with a world that is simple and peaceful.
Isn't it funny how memories shift meaning with time? What were difficult times don't seem that difficult now...what were bright moments seem even more radiant...the past seems so secure, so immaculate. What am I without it? But still I don't want to become its prisoner, I want to hold on to it even as I try to reach out to the future. Does that make any sense??Hmm...

Every year is getting shorter, never seem to find the time
Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the english way
The time is gone, the song is over, thought I’d something more to say
